Daniel is a talented performer and teacher who seeks to develop the musician inside everyone he meets. He is motivated by the belief that everyone can and, therefore/obviously, should make music. Professionally, he is the founding member and Kapellmeister (director) at the Music Studio on Harrison Hill, Music Director at St. David of Wales Church, accompanist for the Portland Peace Choir, substitute music teacher, and performer. Otherwise, you can find him exploring Portland, his new home, by bicycle. Daniel has been teaching piano since high school and has experience working with a variety of interests, demographics, and levels - he's seen (almost) everything! He earned a Bachelor of Music in education and piano from Temple University in May 2009 and holds teaching certificates in Pennsylvania and Oregon. He is particularly interested in developing a customized lesson and practice plan for you. Anyone interested at all in learning piano is more than welcome to come over for their free trial lesson on our beautiful grand piano. At the Music Studio on Harrison Hill, Daniel teaches private piano lessons, group piano lessons, PianoPlay!, a duo class for preschool aged pianists, and music theory courses.
